Participants discussed how to link women, peace, and security to other global agendas and initiatives, particularly the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its goal and targets on gender equality and the sustaining peace framework. They identified opportunities for progress and explored new entry points to integrate gender equality across the UN’s three pillars of development, human rights, and peace. Co-sponsored by the International Peace Institute, FES-NY, and ACUNS, this was a world café style event.
