Maisie Pigeon is a Researcher with One Earth Future's Research program. Ms. Pigeon joined One Earth Future in 2011 as part of its Oceans Beyond Piracy (OBP) program. During her tenure with the OBP program, she lead the development of the program's State of Maritime Piracy report series from 2016 to 2018, as well as conducted research and analyisis on a number of other maritime issues. Prior to joining OEF, Ms. Pigeon lived in Washington, DC where she developed and implemented a number of social advocacy campaigns and strategic communications plans for several international development-focused NGOs. She has her Masters Degree in International Studies from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver and she received her Bachelors Degree from James Madison University, where she studied Political Science, Anthropology and Africana Studies.
