Stable Seas

The Stable Seas Project is a joint collaboration between OEF Research, Oceans Beyond Piracy, and Secure Fisheries, all programs of One Earth Future.

The project looks at how a broad array of maritime crimes are able to flourish in environments with limited maritime governance.  Addtionally, the project aims to better understand how these crimes at sea contribute to instabilty ashore so that relevant stakeholders can identify comprehensive solutions to address the issue.

The first phase of the Stable Seas project, Stable Seas: Somali Waters, is a report focusing specifically on insecurities in the Somali maritime environment.
