VIDEO: Building Capacity, Sustaining Peace: The Role of Non-State Actors

The international landscape looks very different than it did several decades ago. Today’s narratives are not dominated entirely by the actions of a few power states and statesmen. Instead, thousands of non-state actors color geopolitics with their strategies and innovative approaches. From think tanks and foundations, to businesses and other civil society groups, non-state actors are seeking to solve some of the world’s most difficult problems and are making sustainable peace more possible than ever.

OEF Research talked to some of these innovative leaders to learn more about the challenges they face and the creative solutions they develop. By learning from these pioneering groups, we hope that others might find ways to operate more effectively and, ultimately, help create more resilient communities and a more peaceful world.
